City Tavern is a historic tavern where America's Founding Fathers would meet to enjoy spirits of a different kind. The original building was destroyed in a tragic fire and later rebuilt. Today City Tavern is an operating restaurant where staff clad in colonial garb serve Colonial inspired food created by acclaimed chef Walter Staib.
Many believe those who died in the fire and other figures from City Tavern's past continue to haunt the Tavern and its grounds today. Hear more in the ghoulish stories entitled "Apparitions and Aperitifs!" on the Spirits of '76 Ghost Tour.
